Yohan Rossel

Yohan Rossel made a strong impression early in his career in karting and then on the circuit in the Caterham Cups, going on to win the Rallye Jeunes selection in 2014, a talent‑scouting initiative organised by the French Motorsport Federation. Thanks to this success, the driver from Gard began his rally career and, in the same year, won the Citroën Racing Junior Trophy. Two years later, he claimed overall victory in the Citroën Racing Trophy and made his WRC2 debut the following season at the wheel of a Citroën DS3 R5.

Back in France in 2018, he won the Peugeot Volant and then the French Rally Championship in 2019, this time driving a Citroën C3 R5. Crowned WRC3 World Champion in 2021, still representing the French manufacturer, he came very close to securing the WRC2 title in the following season and was retained by Stellantis Motorsport to join the line‑up of the Lancia Corse project. Since the start of the 2026 season, Yohan Rossel has taken two victories with the Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale (Croatia, Canary Islands) and arrives at Rally Portugal leading the provisional WRC2 standings.

“The FIA Smart Driving Challenge carries an essential message for our sport and for everyday mobility: driving can be safer, smarter and more responsible. As a rally driver, I know how important it is to promote good habits behind the wheel, and I’m proud to support a programme that encourages safer driving worldwide.”
